If you value yourself and your health, Rice Village Chiropractic is the Chiropractic Center for you.
Dr. Strang will perform a thorough examination, followed by a consultation to talk with you about his findings. A typical visit might include massage, spinal re-alignment, extremity re-alignment, trigger point work, hot/cold therapy and electrical muscle stimulation. In addition, he teaches stretching and strengthening exercises that allow for the patient to take a pro-active role in their health by prevent issues from re-occurring.
1The Pain Management Phase at Rice Village Chiropractic is the most intensive phase of care. This is the phase where the patient is in pain and wants to get out of pain. Dr. Strang does a thorough examination and determines how the injury occurred and how much damage was sustained. Every case has a different length and frequency of treatment. For example, pain that could be brought on suddenly by an accident or bending over improperly. Or pain brought about over a long period of bad posture.
2The second phase is called the Rehabilitative Phase. During this phase, Dr. Strang enjoys working with his patients on stretching and strengthening exercises that will prevent the original problem from reoccurring. Dr. Strang follows the philosophy of "Tell, Show, Do" in this phase. He will tell you how to do a specific stretch, then actually show you himself on the exercise mat, and then watch as he has you do it to ensure that you are using proper form.
3The Wellness Phase can be best explained with a comparison to regular dental maintenance check-ups preventing tooth decay. Meaning the plague that is built up over time is removed every check-up to stop the teeth from decaying. The same is true for Chiropractic Wellness visits. Chiropractic Maintenance visits allow the Chiropractor to make sure your body's skeletal and extremity joints are in optimal positions and functioning preventing (joint misalignment) to occur in the future and possibly arthritis later in life.
4Typically when a patient suffers a major trauma such as an Auto Accident there is a great deal of work to be done to return the patient to a Pre-Accident status.First and foremost, we work to get the patient out of pain. This usually involves working extensively on the tight muscles and misaligned bones. We need to get the muscles to relax. When the human body experiences a car accident, there is a reflexive protective mechanism that occurs which causes devastating consequences to the Musculo-Skeletal and Nervous Systems.
